Notice Inviting Bids for Contracted Fire Chief/Fire Instructor

After more than twenty-five years of dedicated service to the community, Chief Ansel will retire from the Kirkwood Volunteer Fire Department effective September 4, 2026. Chief Ansel’s leadership, commitment, and contributions have played a vital role in strengthening fire protection and emergency services throughout the District. As KVFD prepares for this leadership transition, the District is accepting Requests for Proposals from qualified candidates interested in serving as the next Fire Chief. Proposal submissions will be accepted through June 26, 2026. Interested applicants are encouraged to review the RFP requirements and submit their proposals by the deadline for consideration.

KVFD 2026 Summer Festival Pancake Breakfast

Join the Kirkwood Volunteer Fire Department for our first ever Pancake Breakfast on Saturday, July 5, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the KVFD Fire House on Loop Road. Enjoy a delicious breakfast while supporting the dedicated volunteers who help protect our community year-round. Tickets may be purchased in advance by making a donation to KVFD for the cost of the tickets, plus any additional contribution you would like to make in support of the department. Tickets will also be available at the event, and we gladly accept cash, checks, and credit cards. Proceeds directly benefit the Kirkwood Volunteer Fire Department, helping us continue to serve and protect our community. Bring your family and friends for a great morning of food, fellowship, and community support. Ticket prices are $25 for adults, $20 for seniors, military personnel, and first responders, $15 for children ages 4–12, and free for toddlers ages 3 and under.

Call Before You Dig

Dial 811 to be connected to the call center to submit a ticket to let utility members know where you plan to dig.  Utility members will respond to your ticket by marking your dig site.  Once all utility members have responded to your ticket and your start time has passed you may get to work.  Visit www.USANorth811.org for more information.

 

KMPUD Newsletter

Receiving the KMPUD Newsletter is vital for keeping up-to-date with various topics like events, seasonal reminders, updates from the Board of Directors, and significant communications.

To register for the newsletter, you have two straightforward options: either check the newsletter box in your KMPUD user account settings or create a KMPUD user account, then select the newsletter checkbox and press Update.

For KMPUD user account creation:

1) Visit the KMPUD website.

2) Click on Log-In at the top right and select Register.

3) Fill out the registration form and submit.

4) Confirm your registration via the email you receive, following the provided instructions.

Another option is scanning this QR code that will bring you directly to the User Account Registration page.  After completing the registration, a confirmation email will be sent to the email you registered with. Follow the directions provided.  Then return to your user account and select the newsletter checkbox and press Update.
