Residential Energy Star® Rebate Program

If it’s time to purchase a new refrigerator, dishwasher, clothes washer, or water heater, Kirkwood Meadows Public Utility District (“District”) offers rebates for the purchase and installation of EnergyStar® appliances and energy-efficient electric water heaters. If you’re looking to switch from propane to electric, or otherwise upgrade your older electric heating system, the District offers a variety of rebate programs on several types of systems. Electric Utility Assistance Program

Kirkwood Meadows Public Utility District provides, upon approval, up to a $25 monthly bill credit or actual electricity usage charges, whichever is lesser, on the electric usage portion of your utility bill for qualified, low-income customers.  You can find more information and the application here.

KMPUD does offer the option of Automatic Payments via the ACH process.  Paying via ACH offers several benefits:

  • It’s entirely free!
  • You avoid the 3% convenience fee associated with paying via credit card.
  • It’s automated and entirely secure – your bill is processed on the same date monthly – and there’s no weather delays associated with bank checks arriving via USPS; common in the Winter.
  • Avoid incurring Penalty Late Fees of 10% the first month, and 0.5% thereafter.
  • You will continue receiving your KMPUD Monthly Statements and you’ll receive email notifications when we’ve processed your payment.
