Sourcing of Water

Water Resources Study

The District completed a capacity study in 2014 to determine what infrastructure improvements will be needed to meet growth at build-out, as defined in the 2003 Specific Plan.  Today the District services its customers entirely on well water.  While the District has sufficient water for current demand and near future growth, there is a need to explore future resources including obtaining water from Caples Lake, new wells or taking steps to increase capacity from existing wells, the use of surface water and the use of recycled water.  Work is underway to study all of these options.
