Solid Waste Recycling Update

As you may be aware, the Kirkwood Meadows Public Utility District (District) provides Solid Waste services to many residents in the Kirkwood Valley. Together with ACES Waste Services, we are promoting the collection of recyclable materials in the valley to help comply with the current State mandate of 50% of all waste to be recycled and to prepare for a law that requires California to divert (recycle) 75% of its waste by January 1, 2020. Besides that, recycling is the right thing to do!

In order to help identify recyclables from normal household trash, the District will be providing orange recycle bags at  no charge to all Kirkwood residences.  These are available at the Kirkwood Meadows Community Services Building.
